Medical Marijuana Certification

The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) oversees the state's medical cannabis program, which allows for the use of cannabis for medical purposes under certain conditions.

Qualifying Conditions

Patient Registration

The provider must have a bona fide provider-patient relationship with the individual seeking treatment and must determine that the potential benefits of medical cannabis outweigh the risks.

Access and Purchase

Registered patients can purchase medical cannabis from licensed dispensaries in Maryland. Patients are required to present their MMCC-issued ID card at the time of purchase. The law regulates the types and quantities of cannabis that can be dispensed, and dispensaries are subject to strict state regulations to ensure safety and compliance.

Possession Limits

120 grams of cannabis flower and/or 36 grams of THC in infused products.
